Illegal Population Now at 11.6 Million

Number up by 10 percent in two years.

Numbers released by the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that there has been a greater than 10 percent increase in the U.S. illegal migrant population. The number has grown from 10.2 million when President Biden took office and established his open border policies to 11.6 million in April of this year.

Between legal and illegal immigration, the number of foreign-born persons in America now represents 14.3 percent of the population. According to the analysis from the Center for Immigration Studies, under the current administration, illegal immigrants have come to represent an estimated 1.35 million, or two-thirds, of the two million increase in the overall foreign-born population.

More migrants are on their way in a caravan currently in Central Mexico with numbers nearing 5,000, and there are between 40,000 and 50,000 waiting in Mexican border towns in order to cross into the U.S. if and when Title 42 is lifted. The administration’s internal data now counts about 8,000 people attempting to cross the southwest border each day.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said that “the U.S. Border Patrol already is managing numbers at historic levels due to large movements of people fleeing violence, corruption, poverty, climate change and other hardships.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Mayorkas to seek God’s wisdom in addressing illegal immigration.
  • For Director Santos as he manages U.S. Census Bureau operations and the evaluation of data.
  • For Commissioner Beach as he oversees the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  • For safety for U.S. border patrol agents as they encounter migrants illegally entering the nation.
